What are the benefits of Hair Restoration Treatments?

Modern hair treatments can provide a safe, effective, and natural-looking way to stop hair loss and regrow hair in bald or thinning spots.

These minimally invasive procedures involve no surgery. Treatment sessions are brief and require little or no recovery “downtime.” There is no need for extensive maintenance.

Different Options for Different People

Your Hair Treatment Consultation

At TAP, we feature a full spectrum of the latest minimally invasive hair treatment techniques and technologies. After carefully examining your scalp and hairline and learning about your goals and expectations, we’ll discuss your treatment options with you and recommend the one that will be the most appropriate and effective for you.

Options include:

LED Scalp Treatment.

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. This light-based, noninvasive treatment introduces packets of light into the deep layers of your scalp. Your body then transforms this light energy into biological energy that powers hair regeneration on the cellular level, with new, thick hairs growing from now-opened follicles.

PRP Scalp Treatment.

This innovative treatment harnesses the healing power of your own blood to regenerate hair growth. PRP is an acronym for Platelet Rich Plasma. Platelets are your blood’s red cells, which have remarkable healing properties. Using platelets taken from your blood, a high octane, “platelet rich” volume of this nourishing fluid is injected into your scalp.

Adipose Derived Stem Cell (ADSC) Treatments.

Short for Adipose-Dependent Stem Cell treatments, ADSC employs a topical solution containing stem cells to stimulate hair regrowth. This treatment has displayed enormous potential in treating both male and female pattern baldness. We also offer Latisse, an FDA-approved serum treatment for thickening, lengthening, and darkening lashes and eyebrows.

Let’s Do It.

Your Hair Restoration Treatment Procedure

During LED treatment, a device that emits gentle light is held above your scalp. A specially designed cover protects your eyes. The treatment takes 5 to 30 minutes, depending on the size and location of your treatment area.

If you and your doctor select PRP treatment, the session starts with a small blood draw from your body. Then, we use a special centrifuge to separate the liquid portion of your blood—the plasma—from the red blood cells, known as platelets. A concentration of platelets is then reintroduced to the plasma. After using ProNox and then numbing your scalp using nerve blocks and tumescent as needed, your doctor will then inject the “platelet-rich” plasma into your treatment area or use an RF microneedling device to provide channels for the PRP to be absorbed. You will be completely comfortable during the procedure.

The ADSC procedure harvests small amounts of excess fat (adipose tissue) from your body using liposuction. This extracted fat is rich with stem cells, the body’s cells most effective and efficient in healing and regeneration. A purified and centrifuged quantity of stem cells combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is then injected into your hair follicles, repairing them and generating hair growth. For this hair treatment Fullerton patients can only expect it to take one to two hours.

The difference will be obvious.

Your Hair Restoration Treatment Results

In each of these treatment options, it may take six months or more to achieve final results.

Your doctor may recommend additional treatments four to six months later to boost or maintain your outcome. Each of the hair treatments we provide delivers proven research-backed results.

Hair Treatment Frequently Asked Questions

Usually, a combination of age, genetics, or hormonal changes is responsible for hair loss. Diet, stress, and illness can also contribute. Hair loss is seldom caused by poor circulation, and despite what you may have heard, it is not determined exclusively by your maternal grandfather. It is generally true that the earlier hair loss begins, the more severely it will progress.

After the procedure, you may experience some soreness and bruising at the injection site. Because PRP injections are made up of your own cells and plasma, the risk of an allergic reaction is not present. Less common risks of PRP injections include bleeding and infection.

Hair restoration treatments are particularly effective for men with male pattern baldness and women with thinning hair.

In many cases, yes. Your doctor will advise you on which treatments you can safely and effectively combine. Nutrafol is also a great nutritional supplement adjunct for the growth of hair on the scalp.

No. Sixty percent of men experience some form of hair loss. But half of women also do, and they can often benefit greatly from hair treatments.
